As a family run business, M12 has always taken special efforts to keep the entire team of staff and partners updated on company goals, achievements, and future plans. Even through the COVID-19 challenge, we have continued our regular team meetings and company updates. All be it now in a whole different and virtual format with members of staff working from home.
In our last company meeting via Zoom, we were updated on each department’s successes, milestones and challenges during the initial COVID-19 lockdown. We also set out forecasts and future planning to ensure the success of the business and rounded the day off with a Q&A session with our brand ambassador and World Champion, Dani Rowe MBE.
Our latest Q3 update in October followed a similar format where departments had the opportunity to discuss performance, growth and plans over the last quarter. We also heard from our MD, Andrew Skipsey and CTO, Matthew Skipsey, on some of our latest investments, innovations and developments to make telecoms and connectivity simpler and more efficient for our staff and end customers.
Regular company updates are an incredibly useful way to ensure all team members are working towards a common goal. Andrew has adopted the 3Hag business growth model which sets out a series of achievable goals to get to the B-HAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) and that’s Giganet to become acknowledged as the UK’s Best Full Fibre ISP.
We also had the fantastic, Chris Croft, one of UK’s leading trainers and a successful author as our guest speaker for the evening. During the lockdown period, it can be easy to neglect your mental health or know where to distinguish the line between work and home. Chris talked about the challenges and how we as individuals can become more organised and set goals to look after our happiness.
