The Splicecom maximiser phone system is designed and developed for 21st Century businesses requiring between 4 and 100,000 IP or analogue extensions. All maximiser systems are built around just five modules representing two core components - Call Servers and (Analogue) Phone Modules. One of these four modules, the SpliceCom 5108 Call Server - has been specifically designed to meet the needs of smaller businesses and the branch offices of larger organisations. SpliceCom maximiser solutions appear to customers, employees and system administrators as a single system, no matter how many separate sites, homeworkers or mobile employees are involved. SpliceCom maximiser is configured and managed as a single system via a standard web browser. For very large scale Enterprise and Hosted/Managed requirements, maximiser XS utilises the core maximiser operating system, running on Apple's Xserve platform to support up to 100,000 extensions! SpliceCom 5100 Call ServerEach SpliceCom 5100 Call Server can support up to 500 IP or analogue extensions and is supplied as standard with 4-16 voicemail ports and 1,500 hours of voicemail storage. Basic Auto Attendant is also included. Constructed on a Unix platform and built around an LDAP database, the SpliceCom 5100 Call Server module provides the foundation of the maximiser system, hosting call routing capabilities, voice processing, a SIP Proxy Server, H.323 Gateway & GateKeeper and integral Apache Web Server. Supplied with an initial licenced capability to support up to eight analogue extensions, the SpliceCom 5100 Call Sever provides physical expansion capabilities to support eight further analogue extensions (licence req) and four directly connected IP Phones. Higher densities of IP and analogue phones are supported through the addition of standard LAN (PoE) switches and SpliceCom maximiser Phone Modules respectively. Supplied as standard with 4 Basic Rate ISDN (ISDN 2e) telephone lines, trunk capacity can be expanded via two further Basic Rate interfaces, dual Primary Rate ISDN (30)/ DPNSS, SIP and H.323 IP Trunks. Each SpliceCom 5100 Call Server can support up to 500 users and 68 lines. In scenarios where support for more than 500 users is required or more than 68 lines, multiple SpliceCom 5100 Call Servers can be linked together via the LAN or WAN to provided a single seamless system for up to 10,000 users. For solutions requiring more than 10,000 users, and where the limit of SpliceCom 5100 Call Servers reaches 20, an enterprise XS Call Server is required. SpliceCom XS Call ServerThe SpliceCom maximier XS Call Server is an extremly scalable VoIP Telephony Platform based on the Apple XServer Unix Platform. It can provide scalability up to 100,000 users - yes, a hundred thousands users! The XS Call Server utilises SpliceCom's 5 Series maximiser platform found in the SpliceCom 5100 and 5108 Call Servers. However it provides the scalability of up to 100,000 users (with a single XS), in comparison to 500 and 8 users respectively in the other SpliceCom Call servers. The XS Call Server also allows support for multiple Virtual maximiser Call Servers. Each Virtual Call Server is capable of running a different level of software, and is perfectly suited to managed, hosted and multi-tenant applications perfectly suiting large scale enterprise applications.
