What is ADSL 2+ Annex M?

Up to 24 Mb/s download speeds.
Up to 2.5 Mb/s upload speeds (Enhanced over ADSL2+).

ADSL2+ Annex M extends the available bandwidth for the upload by reallocating some of the download frequencies for use by the upload. Therefore this enables up to 2.5 Mb/s of bandwidth for the upload, in comparison to standard ADSL2+ which have an available upload bandwidth of 1.4 Mb/s.

As the download frequencies are reallocated for use by the upload bandwidth, you will notice that your download bandwidth will decrease by around 1-2 Mb/s. This trade-off is acceptable for firms hosting IT services in-house (Exchange/ Intranet) where the improvement in upload speed is a must.

Compatible ADSL2+ Annex M router required
