M12 Solutions was formed in August 2003 as a direct result of Azzurri Communications purchasing Convergent Systems. The business was spun out and was formed with an immediate customer base and team of industry experts.Business owner Andrew Skipsey was a former Director and Shareholder of Sotel who were purchased in 2000 and became Convergent Systems. There, Andrew was Sales Director and a main provider of new business as well as managing an account team who looked after a number of Convergents' major customers. In the early months, M12 Solutions only business was associated with sales to it's Azzurri customers. However M12 quickly established a complementary portfolio of systems and network services and it is in this area where M12 Solutions has seen considerable organic growth. M12 Solutions leverages the strengths of its key business partners and over time, have become one of Splicecom's largest resellers, one of Opal Telecomms fastest growing resellers and have an overall portfolio which some of our customers say, offers a "unique single source offering". In early 2007 M12 Solutions decided to terminate the agency agreement with Azzurri because Azzurri's strategic direction had become "uncomplemmentary" to that of M12 Solutions. The parting of the ways has been mutually professional and the priority has been on giving customers choice regarding their telecomms partner for the future. It was important to M12 that a credible Avaya business partner was established and CCT of Bristol now work with the M12 team to provide Avaya based supply and engineering services. Our first year was one of setting foundations, we traded profitably and became Investors in People accredited Our second year focussed on establishing a distictive communications portfolio and gaining a credible local reputation. We were national telecomms industry finalists. Our third year was one of growing the business, revenues, profitability and our people plus planning and preparing for the next big stage of development. We won our inductry's major award, "Overall Reseller of The Year", of succesfully managing the transition from sole trader to Ltd company Our fourth year, M12 Solutions focussed on protecting business with establishd customers as well as winning new larger customers with key business partnerships firmly in place to help the business reach its main goal of £12m of annual business revenues by the end of 2009. Now in the fifth year, M12 is creating a depth of management and structure with further investement in marketing and new people. The business has demonstrated its capability in securing large and complex telecomms projects and will build on this track record to help secure more high value customers.
